The HS series SU Carbs

6th of November, 2019

HS SU Carbs were fitted to a wide range of vehicles. They are easily identified by the float bowl being attached to the main body with a sideways bolt, and the jet has a small flexible pipe to the float bowl.

The float bowl is the same size across all of the HS carbs, but the bellhousing size and bore diameter is different. They may have a fixed needle arrangement like the H series carbs, but later ones have the sprung needle.

Most HS carbs are easy to find, except for the HS8 which are less common.
